About Me
MG

I engineer and ship AI-powered products that simplify workflows and empower people.

I built and shipped Bravo AI, a voice-first calendar assistant that turns natural conversation into real scheduling actions. After gathering user feedback, I’m reimagining Bravo AI as a Chrome extension to better integrate with how people work.

I’m currently pursuing my Master’s in Software Engineering at UC Irvine, strengthening my fundamentals and collaborating with talented peers to build awesome software.

My approach to software engineering is informed by my background in psychology. I believe great software starts with understanding people, and I strive to put users at the center of every engineering decision.

I’m currently seeking Summer 2027 Software Engineering internship opportunities.

  • Deliver hands-on STEAM education with a team of 2+ STEAM instructors to classrooms of 20+ elementary school students across Orange County, introducing foundational programming and engineering concepts through interactive, project-based learning.
  • Teach Arduino programming, block-based coding, computational thinking, and introductory engineering principles, guiding students through activities that encourage creativity, problem-solving, and technical curiosity.
  • Develop classroom leadership, public speaking, and instructional communication skills by managing fast-paced classroom activities, engaging diverse learners, and adapting complex technical concepts into accessible, age-appropriate lessons.

Lead Development Intern

UniConnect
Remote
Feb 2026 - May 2026
  • Shipped a web-based content management platform using Next.js as the full-stack framework, used by a team of 5+ admins and 9 vendors to independently manage business data and content displayed in the mobile application, eliminating the need for Supabase access or developer assistance.
  • Developed an administrative dashboard to monitor 10+ metrics (e.g. user/posts counts, retention rate, aggregated user demographics) allowing a team of 5+ admins to observe user demographic patterns and mobile application performance health.
  • Enabled admins to perform content moderation actions (e.g. create, read, update, delete, and give warnings) on inappropriate users and posts flagged by user reports.
  • Engineered a vendor portal allowing 9 Santa Barbara vendors to publish promotional deals and market directly to UC Santa Barbara students on the iOS app while enforcing row-level security policies on Supabase to ensure vendors can only view their own data.

Aug 2025 - Apr 2026
  • Supported cohorts of 200+ students across U.S. universities, collaborating with team leads and industry instructors to deliver world-class and in-demand technical instruction in web development, data analytics, A/B testing, marketing, etc.
  • Taught agentic software development using Claude Code and Lovable to 200+ students across academic disciplines and mentored students in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Git/GitHub debugging.
  • Evaluated and graded student projects against course requirements, providing actionable feedback on technical implementations and project quality.

Frontend Software Engineer

ACM @ UCR
Riverside, CA
Jan 2025 - Dec 2025
  • Delivered 3 deployed Next.js web applications (Taekwondo @ UCR, ACM Atlas, AI Student Collective @ UCR) used by 1000+ students and faculty to help student organizations establish an online presence across a year.
  • Improved site performance by diagnosing speed performance on Google PageSpeed and utilizing CloudConvert to manually migrate images to WebP format, cutting contentful paint time across all 3 web applications.
  • Translated Figma designs into mobile-responsive reusable components, informed by React’s best practices, enabling a team of 5+ engineers to reuse them and build on top of completed pages.
  • Maintained code quality across 3 codebases by following each unique team’s best practices and using team-built automated ESLint/Prettier while participating in weekly peer code reviews, ensuring 0 Git merge conflicts and 0 compilation bugs.
